Domestic drama involving a prominent Kansas City Latino political family seems to be escalating. 

This summer Alexis Garcia earned news coverage across the metro when she filed a missing persons report regarding the whereabouts of her two-year old son who was in the custody of his father, Jackson County Legislator Manny Abarca.  

In fact, she shared tearful pleas with local TV news . . . Accusations of domestic violence quickly followed but remain contested amid ongoing custody and divorce court proceedings.
