Jackson County Executive Selection Quickly Approaches Disaster?!?

After a tense meeting . . . As we noted, the vote is moving fast but not without a great deal of acrimony. 

The big question:

CAN ANY CANDIDATE FOR EXECUTIVE WIN THE FIVE VOTE MAJORITY?!?

 Again . . .

The process looks ugly to people who don't follow local politics but so far the bickering is pretty standard as coalitions fall apart and then shift . . . DaRon McGee might no longer be the front runner given an outpouring of progressive push back . . . However, it wouldn't be smart to count him out of the contest just yet . . .

In a meeting that lasted two hours, Democrat Donna Peyton got her resolution passed that calls on the applicants to submit background checks by Monday before a vote could be taken. 

Democrats Jalen Anderson and Megan Smith wanted the process slowed down though . . .
