Folly Theater Vandal Damage Threatens To Exceed $750K

Kansas City's historic Folly Theater is working to reopen this weekend after vandals caused more than $460,000 in damage during a break-in early Friday morning . . . 

Fire extinguisher residue covered the theater's wood floors, seats, stage and electrical equipment. Nearly 70 cleaning crew members have worked 10-hour days since Friday to restore the venue.

An estimate moving forward .  . . 

"Folly CEO Rick Truman said the cost estimate continues to rise and could be upwards of $750,000. That includes the price of cleaning, as well as the cost to replace what cannot be salvaged and the revenue that was forfeited from the canceled shows."
