Feds Capture Busy Kansas City Bank Robbery Suspect

He may be a crook . . . But he's also not lazy.

We always suspected bank robbery was a remnant of the distant past given the current surveillance state. And now we have a bit of proof that even the most daring heist will quickly lead to arrest.

Investigators said the robberies were reported on Wednesday and Thursday in Kansas City and Gladstone.

Just around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, agents said they were called to the US Bank near W. Gregory and Wornall Rd. They were told a man walked in and handed an employee a note that demanded money. 

The Federal Bureau of Investigation says that Weston R. Womack, of Kansas City, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 23, after multiple metro-area bank robberies.
