EXCLUSIVE: Activist Clay Chastain Responds After Kansas City Lawsuit Dismissed

Chastain's (measured) reaction to the Appeals Court's Decision.

When a Court ruling looks rigged, sounds rigged and feels rigged - you can be sure it's rigged. As Chastain predicted, the Liberal - leaning Western District Court of Appeals ruled against Chastain and in favor of Liberal Mayor Lucas & the City (upholding the lower court's claim  Chastain made numerous procedural errors involving Rule 84.04) and, of course, used that as an excuse not to rule on the MERITS of the case. The MERITS of the case (the Appeals Court wished to brush aside & not consider) were profoundly serious in that an incumbent Mayor falsely imprisoned his political opponent (According to the ruling by City Municipal Judge Martina Peterson - who acquitted Chastain of the false trespassing charge by Lucas). That act of malfeasance by Lucas (without legal justification) is considered a crime in Missouri & an impeachable offense!! Furthermore, it is well established precedent that an Appeals Court has the discretion to set aside any procedural argument (violation of Rule 84.04, or whatever) if the MERITS of the case involve a grave matter & are of significant interest to the public. An incumbent Mayor who abuses his authority & breaks the law to have his political opponent falsely arrested, falsely imprisoned and maliciously prosecuted is most certainly a Grave Matter, Important to the Public Interest and should override any procedural errors made by (Pro se) Appellant Chastain. 

These rude, bias-acting Judges tipped their hand when all 3 -refused to say good morning to Chastain, 2-repeatedly interrupted Chastain's 10-minute argument & 3-minute rebuttal & did not grant him any extra time to make up for stealing his time. Au contraire', not once did any of these 3 - Judges question or interrupt the Counsel for Mayor Lucas or question her on the MERITS of the case. These 3 - Judges fully understood the facts of this case, they just chose to hide behind Chastain's procedural errors because they knew Lucas & the City had no legal leg to stand on - on the MERITS.

Chastain will fight on for justice by filing an appeal with the Missouri Supreme Court (who, BTW, ruled in Chastain's favor & against the Appeals Court when it overturned the Appeals Court's ruling that had upheld the City's refusal to place Chastain's Valid (Airport) Light Rail Petition before the voters of Kansas City).
