Downtown Kansas City Cheerleaders Hype Greenline Trail

It's a nice idea that doesn't account for maintenance and forgets an important fact . . .

THE RISING DOWNTOWN HOMELESS POPULATION WILL DESTROY THIS TRAIL SCHEME!!!

That's not supposed to be callous . . . We'd hang out there too if we were homeless . . . Still . . . 

The "Greenline" idea forgets the legions of "unhoused" people living in the woods near the loop.

Providing more cover just seems like an idea that doesn't take into account the reality of local urban living.

Not only will 2026 see large sections of the Western, Northern, and Eastern legs of the walkway open up for public use, but we are very excited to announce the Greenline will be the signature project for the spring semester at the KC Design Center. As the trail loop takes shape, we can already envision families cycling together, joggers enjoying scenic views, and individuals being connected to many of downtown’s major attractions like never before.
