"According to the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD), the driver of a gold Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on East 31st Street when someone ran onto the road near a Family Dollar parking lot, just east of Mersington Avenue."

KCPD said the driver stopped immediately and cooperated with law enforcement. They were not impaired.
