"Englewood Theater in Independence, Missouri was unanimously approved for the National Register of Historic Places on October 10. The historic theater was nominated by Friends of Englewood Theater and Heritage Consulting Group back in June 2025. 

"That means the theater, which has been closed for decades, will now have access to 35% state historic preservation tax credits to restore and renovate the theater."
