The local pop music tribute continues . . .
We notice a few people feigning opposition and doing the work of "rage bots" for free. In reality, drag is an American tradition and a Kansas City institution for nearly a century. The pop diva coming to town has a few pretty good songs but only time will tell if she'll maintain her culture war momentum.
Meanwhile . . .
Tireless hype for a weekend concert is also cringe and overwrought. Shaking booty to post-ironic bubble gum hits is fun but NOT EXACTLY social justice work.
Accordingly, here's the so-called local paper-of-record serving as concert promoter . . .
