Biggest Since COVID Lockdown: KCK Conduct EPIC Fentanyl Bust

Perspective . . .

Our blog community always looks on the bad side so we can't help but come away with this conclusion:

An EPIC fentanyl bust on local streets is great progress. However, this drug take down also signals not only a high demand for narcotics on local streets BUT ALSO that militarized and politically charged effort to curb the import of illicit drugs haven't been completely effective.

Our TKC bias . . . Nurture over nature . . . Addition, education, employment alternatives and treatment are often forgotten in a drug war wherein sinking foreign boats sparks legal debate and grabs headlines.

Still . . .

Overall this is EXCELLENT work and a reminder to the plebs to try and keep to legal/taxable chemical substances . . .

"A KCKPD spokesperson says the department’s Narcotics and Special Operations Units seized more than nine pounds of fentanyl while serving a warrant on Oct. 16, at a short-term rental address in downtown KCK.

"In addition to the fentanyl seized during the warrant, officers recovered 11 firearms, 64 grams of methamphetamine, a half-pound of marijuana and 786 miscellaneous pills.

"Police estimate the value of the drugs seized at more than $100,000.

"Three suspects were arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute."
