"The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 44-year-old inmate who was hospitalized after a medical emergency at the Jackson County Detention Center.
"The Kansas City Fire Department responded to the jail at 1300 Cherry Street around Oct. 19 and took the man to a hospital for treatment. "
