Activist Clay Chastain Complains That Judges Didn't Even Say Good Morning

From a friend of the www.TonysKansasCity.com blog . . . A passage from his latest missive stands out from our vantage . . . 

The quote "But Och! I backward cast my e'e on Prospects drear! an' forward tho' I canna see, I guess an' fear" is from Robert Burns's poem To a Mouse. In these lines, the speaker contrasts his own human anxieties about the past and future with the mouse's simple existence in the present moment, noting his own gloom ("drear") and inability to see the future, which leaves him with only guesses and fears.   

Meanwhile, here's the word from the longtime local petitioner just for TBT . . .

Clay Chastain News Release:

Everyone owns a universal sense that detects when they are being unfairly treated - like when Mayor Lucas ordered Chastain silenced, arrested, imprisoned & prosecuted without legal justification - just political cause. During yesterday's Oral Arguments the 3 -Judge Appeals Court Panel appeared stacked against Chastain at the on-set. When Chastain said, "Good morning Your Honors", not one Judge replied back - just unfriendly glares. When Chastain followed with, "Thank you for granting Oral Arguments" not one Judge nodded back - just more unwelcoming glares, and things did not get better.

When Chastain began his 10 - minute allotted argument two of the Judges began to interrupt immediately. One Judge in particular continually interrupted Chastain's 10-minute argument & his 3-minute rebuttal. This robbed Chastain from his designated time to make his case, as the presiding Judge failed to compensate Chastain any extra time. That same Judge (incredulously) told Chastain lower court judges don't have to provide any legal reasoning behind their rulings. When Chastain questioned the Judge and said such an empty ruling hampered his ability to appeal that lower court decision... the Judge just shrugged his shoulders. By conspicuous contrast, Lucas' Counsel Read her prepared 10-minute argument to the Court (in an inaudible (to the audience) whisper) without any questions from the Judges & without any interruptions from the Judges..Whatsoever. Perhaps the 3 - Appeals Court Judges will be objective and fair in their ruling...."But Och! I backward cast my e'e on Prospects drear! an' forward tho' I canna see, I guess an' fear".
