Unlikely Death Penalty Sought Against KCK Police Officer Murder Suspect

Again, for the record . . . 

The last execution in Kansas was a double hanging of George York and James Latham on June 22, 1965.

And here's the latest after the prosecutor took widespread criticism for the handling of this repeat offender . . .  

"Mitchell, 31, is charged with capital murder, one count of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, two counts of theft and one count of criminal possession of a weapon."
