TKC Told You So: Jackson County Recall Suffers Low Turnout

Already we notice local organizers upset with TV news for carrying so many statements from the Exec i the lead-up to this vote.

However . . .

Even grassroots opposition acknowledge that they never hired an official spokesperson to share their side of the story.  

And so . . . 

Here's a peek at low-end democracy still underway . . . 

"Shawn Kieffer with the Kansas City Election Board said Tuesday morning that voter turnout has been slow so far. If it keeps at this pace, turnout will be less than 10%.

"White is facing a recall after frustrations from Jackson County residents over increased property taxes and the failed stadium tax vote in 2024 that would have paid for a new downtown ballpark for the Royals and renovations at Arrowhead Stadium."
