Hawley sent a letter on Monday to Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner requesting that HUD review the Villas of Autumn Bend, a federally subsidized property managed by Dalmark Group.
The senator said tenants reported sewage overflows, mold, and dirty ventilation systems.
In his letter, Hawley said his staff confirmed many of the issues during a site visit, including visible mold, broken plumbing, and sewage backups.
