Kansas State Senator Mike Thompson Lectures Young Politico

For the love of all things related to touchdown Jesus . . . We can only hope this story is fake and just some kind of silly parable from a former local weather dude. 

More to the point . . . 

We're certain that the State Senator has a comprehensive understanding of the Austrian School Of Economics but that's a lot to dump on some poor guy who going door to door trying to drum up some interest in a fledgling campaign . . . Also, the dude in question probably didn't have his phone handy so he could discuss the ideological split amongst economists of the Austrian school who pushed back against the political/policy implications of their work. 

Let's not forget that most American economists reject the Austrian school as theoretical Libertarian GARBAGE . . .   

And . . . 

Most importantly, it's easy to debate economic theory when everyone in Austria has socialized health care. 

Still . . .

The idea of Mike Thompson lecturing some dude on his doorstep is entertaining and that's why we're sharing this post . . .  

"I had a young man, who is running for local office, knock on my door today to give me his campaign pitch. I’ve been in his shoes, so I understand how that feels.

"It became clear after a few minutes however, that he, like far too many people entering politics…or already in politics… do not understand the concept of entrepreneurial risk. If you lack the understanding of that concept, you’ll always make bad decisions when it comes to spending taxpayer dollars."
