We're actually inspired to see Kansas politicos working to get their cut of online bookie fortunes since they were to gullible to get the 10% originally agreed upon.

"Kansas currently receives only 6.5% of its sports betting revenue, one of the lowest percentages in the country, with only Arizona and Michigan receiving less.
"This week, the Special Committee on Federal and State Affairs met to address the issue of Kansas losing nearly 93% of its sports betting income to casinos and betting companies . . .
"A provision in the law allows sportsbooks to deduct credits from their taxable revenue, which reduces the amount the state collects. Lawmakers are exploring options to close these tax loopholes or to increase the tax rate to ensure more revenue is collected annually."
