Growing local skepticism about the benefits of a sketchy Kansas City soccer plan is now confronted with promises of EPIC cash without much proof.
And so we ask . . .
SHOULD KANSAS CITY BELIEVE WORLD CUP PROMISES TO MAKE LOCAL MILLIONAIRES?!?
First, we'll assume that they probably don't mean FIFA organizers buying so local golf course property.
Joking of course . . . Nevertheless . . .
Most of the time . . .
When locals are presented with the kind of high-pressure sales pitch with MILLION DOLLAR upsides hoping to entice investment . . . They're advised to hang up the phone, delete the text/email or close the door on the salesman.
Moreover . . .
It's surprising to see that KC is already so desperate that "get-rich-quick" schemes hope to motivate more local biz to take risks in support of the civic agenda.
In fairness, here's the offer that seems easier to refuse . . . Check-it . . .
“That 26 days is going to make millionaires in our communities,” Taylor Overton, co-chair of the National Entrepreneurship Leaders Network added. “And we have the ability to influence and to position our small businesses for it not to be just 26 days but to position our small businesses for that legacy impact.”
