Kansas City Toasts Martini Corner Boom

It's a nice spot that has been mostly ruined by gentrification and hipsters who must brave a sometimes "tense" walk back to their cars after dark. 

Still . . . 

We mostly admire an effort to escape some of the more generic local meat market fare in more popular party districts . . . Here's a recent bit of hype:  

"Martini Corner isn’t just a catchy name for a cluster of bars — it’s a window into Kansas City’s knack for reinvention. On one block, you’ll find shuffleboard and craft cocktails, and on another, century-old red-brick Victorians and a cemetery holding the city’s founders."
