Kansas City Summer Daze Ends: Downtown, Protest & Millennials

For a moment, allow us to indulge like so many of our middle-class friends who have the luxury of easing back into a work week that's, ironically, like most writers . . . Hoping a few clever lines keep us from the grips of homelessness.

As always, we're conflicted about when to give up on Summer . . . Both of sides of the debate speak to our love for the sciences of astronomy AND statistics . . .

Hint: This year we're gonna side with the stars . . .

In astronomical terms, summer ends at the equinox — last day of summer is Monday, Sept. 22. But meteorologically, researchers and scientists typically use Sept. 1 for statistics and record-keeping.

Either way . . . Our TKC free advice is to NEVER rush through the seasons . . . Then again, feel free to grab a PSL if it offers a moment of happiness . . . In the end, we might only have to answer to ourselves.

But I digress . . .

Don't worry, we're still grinding behind the scenes BUT for this morning we're easing into Tuesday by way of sharing a pretty good list of pop culture, community reporting and top headlines to start the day.

We hope for another update around the crack of noon or worse . . . Depending when the midday sunlight hits our basement blogging HQ.

For now . . .

Check TKC news gathering . . .
