"A shuttlecock was removed as part of an effort to make sure the museum lawn has its best foot forward in 2026. This is when people from around the world will descend on the city for the World Cup.
"The 18-foot, 5,000-pound sculpture was removed by a crew for cleaning and repainting. It’s the second one to be removed this year, and it will be missing for two months. Afterward, crews will move onto the next one and the one after that, until they are brought back to their original glory."
