Kansas City Pizza Dive Comeback Amid American Harsh Times

Experts argue that the U.S. economy might be on the brink of recession

From our vantage . . .

LOOK AROUND, EVERYONE IS STRUGGLING AND THE AMERICAN MIDDLE-CLASS CONTINUES TO DISAPPEAR EVEN FASTER THAN ALL OF THOSE MIGRANTS!!!

The punchline is that there isn't any vote that's going to stop the impact of some pretty cruel population shifts and the reality of post-capitalism by way of global banks using quantitative finance to leverage the planet to the hilt until collapse isn't just inevitable but a glitch that now serves as the defining feature of the current global macroeconomic system.

Bright side . . .

Money isn't real but pizza remains delicious.

And cheap, good pizza might be the closest we have to proof that the Almighty has a great deal of mercy, compassion and love for unworthy humans.

We share this Northeast Kansas City restaurant note . . .

"It’s possible we’re in the midst of a pizza wave, and if so, Northeast Pizza, in its uncomplicated perfection, is part of it. The Pendleton Heights restaurant has the heart of a pizzeria from a ’90s movie, invoking something nostalgic in the way you can show up on a whim, order your go-to from a chalkboard menu and throw your kid a quarter to get a gumball from the coin-operated candy machine, all with little worry about the bill. There’s nothing new or shiny. There’s, with the highest of respect, hardly any innovation. "
