Kansas City Moment Of Doubt In Soccer Future Gains Traction

Here's the Kansas City narrative that deserves critical questions and skepticism . . .

FORGET THE CHIEFS & ROYALS!!! SOCCER IS THE FUTURE OF KC PROPER?!?!

More to the point . . .

Very soon Kansas City residents might be convinced that lady soccer and international fútbol will replace decades of baseball & American gridiron dedication. 

Of course this is just a sketchy marketing ploy that doesn't have much in common with reality. 

Whilst the Chiefs & Royals are free to make their own horrible decisions, propaganda imposed on Kansas City residents and local media deserves push back. 

Our TKC bloggy thesis . . .  

Kansas City IS NOT a soccer town.

There are so many better things to do inside city limits. 

Legal weed.

Foodie adventures.

Live music.

Or even illegal street racing is more rewarding than MSM demands to enjoy lady soccer. 

While we can respect the sales pitch BUT the numbers and even a cursory look at half-full stadiums reveal that the appetite for soccer in Kansas City isn't anything close to pro baseball or football. 

This is a challenge for marketers but a more importantly, this is moment for locals who must understand: 

NOBODY is entitled to allegiance . . . It's earned.  

Of course . . . 

We'll share the opposite side of this debate in fairness and as local soccer hype hits critical mass in the coming weeks & months in order to DISTRACT from one or both of KC's pro teams leaving town.
