
Sadly, our government worker friends don't get much sympathy despite their importance to Kansas City's economy.
As always, we remind locals who often forget . . .
The federal government is largest employer in the Kansas City metro.
Translation . . .
The impact of government layoffs don't stop with guv workers but have/will impact the entire region and so many local biz dependent on local spending.
It's basic economics that partisan hacks refuse to understand.
Moreover . . .
This time around MAGA might not have the upper-hand given their numbers that increased the budget by more than $4.1-TRILLION . . . A figure that caused sticker shock amongst even hardcore conservative supporters.
Don't worry, it gets worse . . .
This time around Democratic Party leaders seem "emboldened" to stand up to MAGA ahead of Midterms elections and seems to believe that any ensuing economic hardship will reflect poorly on the Prez.
Meanwhile . . .
Per ushe, Kansas City workers are stuck in the middle and confronting a worsening economy on the low-end that is mostly used for political leverage.
And so . . . Prez Trump & the Dems playing hardball probably won't factor in cowtown hardship either way . . . Check-it:
