Kansas City Doubles Down On FAILED Prospect Grocery Store

After national disgrace and an exhaustive debate regarding the merits of socialism, Kansas City is ready to throw EVEN MORE good money after bad in order to bring back a FAILED grocery store.  

To wit . . .

PROSPECT SLUM FRESH MIGHT SOON RETURN BACKED WITH MORE KANSAS CITY TAXPAYER CASH!!! 

Sadly, there's no plan to do anything differently . . . Just more of the same hopeful chatter that locals endured whilst the "food desert" experiment wasted about 29 MILLION BUCKS and counting.

Work has already begun, with neighborhood groups targeting the issues that plagued the previous operator – drug use, employment gaps, and mental health concerns.

City officials are preparing to launch a formal search for a new operator, and they stress that steady investment will be key.

Kansas City City Manager Mario Vasquez issued a statement on regarding the grocery store.

“This grocery store is important to the community, and we’ve already seen strong interest from potential operators. We are committed to working closely with residents to select the right partner. The RFP process will begin in October, and the CID will continue working with the City to ensure the center is properly maintained.”
