The Kansas City Chiefs looked AWFUL in their Brazil 2025 debut. 

It's Sunday so allow us to play the optimist . . . 

SKEPTICS ALWAYS DOUBT THE CHIEFS BUT THE TEAM ALWAYS PLAYS THEIR BEST AGAINST THE ODDS!!!

This isn't just a characteristic of the Mahomes era . . . It's part of the character of the franchise maybe even the "ethos" of KC proper. It's one of the many reasons why the team has fans with season ticket stubs going back to the 60s . . . Despite so many lean years. 

The Chiefs thrive as the underdog and that's when they're the most interesting to watch. 

Still . . .

Right now skeptics dominate the discourse and this week sports talkers will spend untold hours dissecting an upcoming showdown with their Super Bowl rivals.

"It’s going to be hard not to overreact to this sloppy and dysfunctional performance from the Chiefs. Even the special teams unit was hit-and-miss. Harrison Butker nailed a 59-yard field goal after rushing onto the field in a zero-timeout situation at the end of the first half, but he later missed an extra point attempt. They need answers fast.

"The Chiefs are home underdogs next week against the Eagles, the same team that ran them off the field in February’s Super Bowl."
