Due to this backlog of 2023 property tax assessment appeals, not a single 2025 appeal was heard by the county prior to the August deadline.
"Regrettably, due to the unheard case volume from 2023 appeals, Jackson County has failed to hold a single formal hearing for 2025 BOE appeals by the mandated deadline," the letter says.
