Clay Chastain News Release: Is Mayor Lucas acting like a hypocrite? In 2019 Mayor Lucas silenced the voices of 5,000 KC...

"Mayor Quinton Lucas, posts" (concerning the redistricting controversy): "The political work to protect Kansas City & Missouri voices goes next to the courts and the petition process, and we'll be there every step of the way...". 

***Mayor Lucas then added on FB: "The same Washington GOP forces that are looking to reduce our voices...they're hearing footsteps. Good." 

These recent statements posted by Kansas City's Mayor (about Petitions & Free Speech & reducing voices being heard) do not comport with his (above) actions in office, and thus beg these questions:

Question #1: Does Mayor Lucas only want to "protect" the "voices" of citizens he agrees with?

Question #2: Does Mayor Lucas only respect the "petition process" when a petition advances his political ambitions?

Question #3: Does Mayor Lucas believe a "hypocrite" can win Missouri's 4th Congressional District Seat, and is he hearing "footsteps"?
