ICE Urges Local Immigration Roundup: Will Kansas City Cooperate?!?

So far . . . 

The de facto answer is no. KCPD isn't helping roundup illegal aliens. 

Honestly, Kansas City proper has bigger problems than the border . . . Gunfire whenever more than a few people gather outside seems to be the source of habitual misery for the past decade and so far there hasn't been a reliable solution. Also, the rising toll of deadly domestic violence every year needs even more attention.

Meanwhile . . . We're sure that we could connect it all to immigration problems in much the same way that we're all just a few degrees of separation away from Kevin Bacon. 

Nevertheless . . . 

We share a peek at the plan and we're willing to listen to perspectives or advocacy for the local po-po to get involved in midterm election season . . .  

"ICE says it’s keeping communities safer.  The Department of Homeland Security is working to recruit local law enforcement agencies to work with the agency in exchange for incentives.  The program, dubbed 287g, allows police and sheriff’s offices across the country to arrest and remove immigrants."
