Gun Battle Betwixt Independence Bros Sparks Home Explosion

This week's family drama tragedy should remind us to be nicer to our loved ones . . . Here's some tragic description and more reporting: 

Police said there was a domestic disturbance at the home between two brothers where one had shot at the other . . . 

The IPD SWAT team was sent to the scene because one of the brothers had barricaded himself inside the home.

When the SWAT team arrived, they could smell natural gas from inside the home, according to police. They shut the gas off.

Around 10 minutes later, the house exploded. Police said the brother who had shot at the other was found inside with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
