
Legal update on a long shot . . .
White filed the appeal on Friday, claiming the Sept. 30 date of the recall election is unlawful because it goes against an ordinance that the county legislature adopted in 2023, as well as state law.
The ordinance requires all recall elections to be scheduled on the "next lawful election date," which White states is not the case, even though the court ruled it was lawful last month.

Court rejects Frank White's appeal to stop recall on day before election in Jackson County
The Missouri Court of Appeals has rejected an appeal filed by Jackson County Executive Frank White to stop his recall election scheduled on Tuesday.
