Should Kansas City Demand Troost Dividing Line Representation?!?

Let's start with context . . .

The Kansas City Police Board hosts two African-American members which brings its level of representation of KC's Black community to 33% — That's roughly about 7% higher than local population numbers.

However . . .

There is no legal mandate for representation by neighborhood or street.

In fact . . . The "East Of Troost" argument is a political talking point that's ACTUALLY just a thinly-veiled criticism of the new police commish Heather Hall who is a conservative and has spent most of her career advocating for the Northland . . . KC's fastest growing enclave.

We could pretend that this is journalism but the write-up mostly concerns power and speaks to so many locals who don't realize that a recent SCOTUS decision abolished the U.S. defacto racial quota system.

Check-it . . .

"With the Missouri governor's appointment of Heather Hall, a former Kansas City councilwoman from the Northland, the state-run Board of Police Commissioners lacks any appointees from east of Troost Avenue. Residents and activists worry about accountability."
