A very brave doggie recovers from a cruel attack in the line of duty.
Thankfully . . . It seems like he'll recover and earn an EPIC dinner for his service . . . Here are some of the deets that authorities are sharing:
Investigators say the suspect barricaded himself, leading to a standoff. Shawnee police sent the K9 to help, and when officers tried to arrest the suspect, he stabbed the K9.
KCKPD says the K9 is expected to fully recover, and the suspect surrendered at 7:30 a.m. and was arrested.

Kansas City, Kansas police say a Shawnee police K9 that was assisting during an overnight barricade/standoff call was stabbed and taken to a vet.
