Scribe Shares Kansas City Hip-Hop Animation Collab

Behind the scenes . . . This is the kinda music that TKC listens to when compiling this blog every day and we also wanted to feature the work of Kansas City's most important graffiti artist.

Here's the backstory on Scribe's latest online work that's worth a look to start the workweek "vibe" in the right headspace . . . And also serves as our song of the day.

Check-it:

"Khemistry" was originally recorded in 2016 for an album titled Rumpus, In These Horns of Mine, inspired by the character Rumpus, created by Donald Ross, also known as Scribe. The song was conceived as an extension of the world built in The Resound Fields—a multidisciplinary book and art series. It added another layer and dimension to that universe through sound.

The track features The Basement Khemist, a highly respected Hip Hop group from Kansas City, made up of Taha (Brother Neves), JLee, and Joc Max. Collaborating with them on this project remains one of the greatest honors of my career.
