Report: No Internal Investigation After Double KCFD Deaths

One murder and one drowning didn't spark any departmental inquiry according to the newspaper that seems to be pressuring the FD as of late . . . The basics . . . 

"The department confirmed on Tuesday that it conducted no internal review after the drowning death last September of 33-year-old Kyle Brinker. It confirmed a day later that it also did not conduct a review after paramedic Graham Hoffman, 29, was stabbed to death by a patient in the back of an ambulance in April."

KCFD didn't investigate 2 line of duty deaths despite department guidelines

National experts say departments should investigate every death of a firefighter on the job. A KCFD spokesperson said reviews "would not have served a beneficial purpose for anyone."
