Not Like Ya Think: Federal Crackdown Coming Soon To Kansas City?!?

Here's the thing . . .

Kansas City is very afraid of a federal crackdown but it's not all about La Migra or politically charged MAGA flexing despite so many recent headlines on the topic.

Remember that last week Mayor Q claimed the Prez was targeting Black leaders.

However . . .

A lot of that conversation is nothing more than culture war blathering that doesn't mean much beyond cool sound-bytes for culture war partisan slap fights.

Here's the REAL story that's taking shape behind the scenes . . .

CITY HALL INSIDERS ARE TALKING ABOUT RECENT INTERVIEWS WITH THE FEDS THAT HAVE A GREAT MANY 12TH & OAK SUITS "SHOOK" ABOUT THE FUTURE!!!

For a month we've been told to keep quiet about a steady stream of interviews.

The reality . . .

The feds are ALWAYS looking at 12th & Oak and so much corruption inside both buildings in anything but a secret.

Nevertheless . . .

Now that so many people have been interviewed . . . Insiders are getting more comfortable talking about impending trouble and questions that seem to be leading to new & exciting directions.

And so . . .

The federal crackdown that KCMO really fears has nothing to do with crime on the street and might consider sketchy municipal arrangements . . . Which is actually much scarier to local leaders than the boots on the ground making headlines in the Beltway right now.

Still . . .

There's still a chance we might see BOTH kind of crackdowns before the Midterms . . . And so we'll finish the post on that part of the conversation with MAGA clinching for more control over American cities . . . Check-it:

"From Boston to Los Angeles, President Donald Trump’s portrayal of the District of Columbia as a lawless wasteland to justify his military and law enforcement incursion is viewed as an opening salvo in a bid to undermine the autonomy of America’s biggest cities. On Friday, Trump promised to target Chicago next, then New York.

"Many big city mayors, however, remain defiant, saying: Not so fast, Mr. President. "
