Sadly, even Super Bowl tourism comes with many dangers for those seeking the "company" of often dangerous strangers . . . Take a look:
Senior police officer Terrance Johnson, 56, surrendered and was booked into the Orleans Justice Center jail Wednesday morning (Aug. 13) on two counts of prostitution, three counts of malfeasance in office and two counts of first-degree injuring of public records.
Louisiana State Police said their detectives uncovered evidence that Johnson, while on duty, “coordinated and paid women in exchange for sexual relations on multiple occasions.”
An arrest warrant affidavit says Johnson’s arrest stemmed from the Louisiana State Police’s investigation into Colbert, an alleged French Quarter prostitute accused of manslaughter in the overdose death of Kansas City sports reporter Adan Manzano in February.
Johnson’s link to Colbert was found in a search of Colbert’s seized cellphones, one of which contained text chains dating to 2022 with a contact listed as “TJ Popo,” which contains Johnson’s initials and a slang term for police.
