Moderate Republican Women Pushed Out Of Kansas Politics?!?

Not sure if we agree with this take . . . And photo credit to TKC's mantra movie Spring Breakers . . .  

In the current American epoch we notice that holding elected office has a lot more to do with personality rather than policy goals.

However . . . 

The column basically agrees with a longstanding TKC premise . . . The Kansas Republican party is such a sausage fest that they've consistently bungled the campaigns of great lady candidates with mediocre support and messaging . . . Our favorite example is how party leaders wanted to rebrand power player Amanda Adkins into a housewife baking cookies and JoCo voters were so turned off by the dishonesty that they reelected Rep. Sharice Davids by a huge margin even after a redistrict hit against her base.

Still . . . This is a worthwhile column that offers great food for thought . . .  

Vicki Schmidt, Kansas insurance commissioner, is running for the Republican gubernatorial nomination.

Schmidt's campaign, emphasizing practicality, draws comparisons to former Kansas Sen. Jean Schodorf, a moderate Republican.

Both Schmidt and Schodorf were targeted by their own party for not fully embracing conservative ideologies.

Schmidt's moderate stance and focus on common sense solutions are being tested in the current political climate.
