Kansas City Trolley Trail Copes With Worsening Sewage Crisis

The legacy of mass transit dreaming actually smells pretty horrible in reality . . .

Sure,Trolley Track Trail hasn't seen any streetcar action in more than half century BUT it's a great symbol of busted middle-class life in KC Proper . . . 

Better TKC post headline:

KANSAS CITY SEYZ BROOKSIDE STINKS!!!

Or maybe . . . 

BROOKSIDE BREATHES FOUL AIR OF FORGOTTEN TRANSIT GORGE!!! 

But I digress . . .  

For those who wanna get REALLY REAL . . . This problem isn't half as bad as all of the creepers lurking during the Summer waiting to show joggers their junk.

For now . . . Here's the icky and somewhat more palatable situation . . . Check-it:  

"If you've walked or run along the Trolley Trail in Brookside over the past few weeks, you might have smelled something rotten.  Neighbors say raw sewage is leaking from a busted pipe onto that trail near West 61st Terrace and Brookside Boulevard.  Kelly Darrah is now organizing neighbors to call attention to the problem.  Darrah recently installed a television in her backyard. But she can’t enjoy it along with her pool due to the smell."
