Kansas City, Kansas Candidate Answers Criminal History Criticism

This week elections in Kansas City, Kansas proved uneventful but one candidate has encountered criticism regarding court records and today she answered one of her possible constituents raising concern.

Lisa Walker-Yeager advanced in her race for BPU at Large-1st District AND Commissioner 1st District but not without questions regarding her very recent past.

Here are the basics of the story which we hope will inspire more reporting from our friends in the local media . . .

According to court dox sent our way . . .

It looks like KCK candidate Ms. Walker-Yeager confronts VERY SERIOUS charges for aggravated battery & unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Of course she deserves her day in court but AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS sent word of this news our way along with their perspective . . . Here's how they questioned the candidate:

"When we vote for people like this, what do we think we will get?!? lol!!!"

And here's where things get interesting . . .

From an FB account promoting her candidacy Ms. Yeager-Walker responded . . .

"I am a Widow of a Veteran Whose daughter was brutally attacked, car broken into, and robbed at my house by a grown man! What would you do when you hear and see your daughter almost killed ? I stand up for my Family and my community!"

Showing no ill-intent . . . The AWESOME READER OF www.TonysKansasCity.com offered this . . .

"Now is not the time you run for office. You are charged with some very serious crimes. Take care of that and then focus on other things."

That's not bad advice . . . In fact, we don't think this voter was being a hater at all when he simply wanted some clarification on a candidate.

Honestly, TKC isn't exactly sure how a candidate out on bond can run for office.

Still . . .

We follow the lead of a brave reader by sharing this post and hope local media will do the same in order to better inform the electorate.

Developing . . .
