The idea of a "prophetic voice" is appealing because many Christians believe that we all can be inspired to speak "truth to power" and offer guidance to others.
And so we share this encouragement by way of blogging and the constant effort to keep up with current events and the local conversation . . . Here's the word:
"If we are silent in the presence of evil, those committing the evil win. Twice in recent weeks I've been urged by religious leaders not to be silent when I should be using my prophetic voice (we all have one) to point out what has gone terribly wrong in the world . . ."
