Kansas City Embassy Suites Shutting Down Near Country Club Plaza

Here's a peek at the end of an era for a place that was once a local hot spot. 

It's hard for many to remember but this hotel once hosted traveling pro-sports teams and was a hangout for the local elite who wanted some place nice to stay betwixt Westport & The Plaza.  

Now, neither one of those locations serve to draw tourists like they once did . . . Here's a brief aftermath report . . . 

“We can confirm the hotel is expected to close effective September 15, 2025, at which time the property will no longer form part of the Hilton portfolio,” the spokesperson said via email.
