The obvious question . . . 

Why should next summer be any different than this one?!?

In the meantime and in fairness, we share a bit of reassurance . . .  

 In downtown Kansas City, the Barney Allis Plaza redevelopment project is pushing forward, despite a Kansas City spokesperson saying its opening will be delayed due to a water main flooding the worksite in freezing weather.

Decades of planning, cleaning up the area, and millions invested is what officials say took for the area to be ready for the world stage.
