Just a peek behind the curtain . . .
All great art is subversive.
And so . . . We notice that artsy winners for this downtown project speak to a long-ago and nearly forgotten time in Kansas City's history with their designs that create "urban ruins" in the middle of town which is only slightly better than all of the sleeping hobos and maids who used to hang out there before the redevelopment effort . . . Here's a peek:
"The new plaza will feature a dog park, all-ages play space, event spaces and will be accessible from the street level.
"Another key component to the project is incorporating public art, highlighted by the $2.18 million project from Gijs Van Vaerenbergh."
