Kansas City ATA Funding Crisis Resolved?!?

Probably . . .

It's not a done deal yet but the cash from city hall is on the table and, behind the scenes, it looks like more power over the organization now rests with city hall  . . . Here's the report:  

The KCATA’s Board of Commissioners has scheduled a meeting at 8 a.m. on Friday to complete its review of the agreement.

City Manager Mario Vasquez provided a general outline of the agreement Thursday, in which the city agreed to spend $77.9 million to fund services through April 2026. The city is asking the ATA to come up with a fare plan that's sensible and not confusing to riders.

Bus contract issues between city, KCATA 'resolved,' Mayor Lucas says

Mayor Quinton Lucas told KMBC 9 that contracts between the city and the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority have been "resolved" after talks Thursday morning. The mayor said he will introduce a proposal at the city council meeting regarding the funding.
