Journey Into 'Scribbleverse' Kansas City

Saturday morning should ALWAYS be for cartoons, illustration and art.

Accordingly . . .

We share one more look at one of our favorite Kansas City artists.

Moreover . . .

We like his take on "world-building" but we'll gently admonish the artist by reminding him that the world he built wasn't just imaginary. In fact, his graffiti is an unparalleled contribution to the very real look, texture and culture of Kansas City.

Here's more about the doc that will better inform anybody walking local streets . . .

"The Scribbleverse is a short film by director Kyle Dykes of Spacesuit Productions, chronicling the journey of artist Donald Ross—better known as “Scribe.” The film offers a quick yet vivid look at Scribe’s early inspirations, from cartoons to street art, and his work in the healthcare field.

"At its heart, the collaboration encourages creatives to reflect on their roots, embrace the building blocks of inspiration, and remain open to where those influences can lead. It’s a call to make art and strive to be a positive force in the world."
