Everybody Scatters After EPIC 18th & Vine Hit & Run Crash

This run-in doesn't offer much encouragement about the fate of this district . . . Here's a peek at local street life and an aversion to cooperation with authorities . . . Check-it: 

Preliminary investigations revealed that a Chevrolet Malibu was speeding eastbound on 18th Street when it hit a Toyota Highlander driving north on Indiana Avenue.

The Chevrolet then struck a Dodge Durango that was driving west on 18th Street. The Toyota spun out into the westbound lanes of 18th Street and hit a Ford Taurus and a Chrysler 200, which were both traveling west on 18th Street . . . The driver of the Chevrolet fled the scene — as well as those in the Dodge, Ford and Chrysler — before police got to the scene.

The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a Tuesday night hit-and-run crash at the intersection of 18th Street and Indiana Avenue.

3 people, including minor, hospitalized after hit-and-run crash involving 5 cars

One driver faced critical injuries, and a minor is facing serious injuries.
