Preliminary investigations revealed that a Chevrolet Malibu was speeding eastbound on 18th Street when it hit a Toyota Highlander driving north on Indiana Avenue.
The Chevrolet then struck a Dodge Durango that was driving west on 18th Street. The Toyota spun out into the westbound lanes of 18th Street and hit a Ford Taurus and a Chrysler 200, which were both traveling west on 18th Street . . . The driver of the Chevrolet fled the scene — as well as those in the Dodge, Ford and Chrysler — before police got to the scene.
