Deadly Kansas City Parking Lot Fight: Middle-Class Youngsters???

First and foremost, TKC doesn't really believe in demographic profiling when it comes to politics because there are endless instances of equally horrific crime from just about every ethnic/racial group on the planet for those willing to wade into human misery deep enough.

However . . .

A recent social media fight clip of a downtown brawl has garnered a great deal of attention, hits and commentary and here's what stands out . . .

The youngsters in the clip were mostly white, seemingly middle-class and the scene before the shooting was sketchy but not something that was too scary . . . At least until the bullets started flying.

We're surprised the clip remains online and for now it's on FB inside a comment thread.

Also . . .

The clip has also been shared on Insta but behind a "restricted" wall and requires a login.

Again . . .

This one is worth noting not for culture war fodder but because the gunfire doesn't fit the "demographic profile" that is often suggested by some of the meaner online comments.

To be fair, the shooters aren't featured in the video and they might or might not have been connected to the ruckus that preceded the gunfire.

The only conclusion that we think is fair is this . . .

Downtown Kansas City violence is a lot more "complex" than most locals can appreciate and it's not something that's going to be solved by new parking lot rules.

As always, we're interested in what www.TonysKansasCity.com readers might make of the drama.

You decide . . .
