"Kansas City Council has approved a new resolution directing the installation of at least 120 speed humps in neighborhoods across the city in 2025. The initiative advances Kansas City’s Vision Zero goals by slowing traffic, protecting pedestrians, and creating safer, more livable communities.

"This builds on the City’s 2024 effort, which saw 100 speed humps installed. With this new resolution, Public Works is raising that commitment—bringing at least 120 more speed humps to high-priority areas identified through crash data, speeding trends, and resident feedback."
