Will Kansas Run Out Of Water?!?

Hopefully not . . . But right now here's a glimpse at a VERY REAL CRISIS that can actually be measured . . . Unlike most political rhetoric, posturing and so-called environmental advocacy.

Check-it:

"In western Kansas, farmers are pumping large volumes of water out of the Ogallala Aquifer to irrigate crops, depleting it over decades after the state over-appropriated water rights. In eastern Kansas, rivers and streams are filling reservoirs with sediment, reducing their capacity.

"As a result of these developments, more than 100 communities across the state are at risk of running out of water within 25 years."

And here's what might be the solution . . .

"Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly signed a bill creating a water conservation task force to address the state's water challenges. The task force will evaluate water risks, define sustainable water supply, and assess funding for water projects."
